Fabric Maintenance on FPSO

Overview

iasgroup was engaged to undertake fabric maintenance of the main deck, process decks and support structures on an FPSO in the north west of Australia. These areas required remediation where it had been established that the existing coating system had broken down.

Solution

  • IAS UHP Water Jet Mower to achieve high rates of existing damaged deck coating removal
  • SpongeJet low dust abrasive blasting to remove existing damaged coating system, rust, contaminants and to create the surface cleanliness of Sa2.5 and profile of 80microns
  • Airless spray application of protective coating
  • Two rotating teams of experienced offshore specialist UHP water jetting, SpongeJet low dust blasting and coating technicians
